Instructor: Heather Borden
Come join us in making a mandala clay piece of art, while developing hand
building techniques! Students will have an opportunity to make their very own
unique mandala. This class is for beginners up to advanced ceramic artists.
Students will start by using a slab roller to hand build leaves and flowers, while
learning about the importance of placement and composition. All supplies,
including clay, glaze, and wood will be provided in this class.
Heather Borden is a local artist in Boulder Co. She studied art as an
undergraduate with an emphasis in ceramics and has a Masters degree in
education. She has taught elementary school and middle school art. Heather’s
love of flowers and nature can be seen throughout her ceramic flower pieces and
in her one of a kind mandalas. She currently has flower pieces for sale at The New
Local Gallery.
