Join us at The New Local Annex (713 Pearl St.) for a unique, 1-day clay hand-building workshop designed for the local art community, ceramic enthusiasts, and creative individuals seeking to make ceramics with intention.
Led by Bridget Dorr, a professional ceramic artist, this workshop focuses on creating functional and beautiful clay ceramic platters and elevated dishes to hold food, meaningful objects, or act as an intentional space for sacred items.
What You'll Create:
- A total of four items, created as a set or individually. Each dish and platter is meticulously handcrafted from clay by each participant.
Using clay slab rolling techniques, participants will learn the principles of hand-building to craft up to four custom ceramic pieces perfect for holding food, jewelry, or simply as home decor. Each piece will be fired and glazed, with pick-up available 4-6 weeks after the workshop to ensure ample time for drying, firing, and glazing.
Whether you're new to ceramics or experienced in clay work, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore creativity and mindfulness. Come and engage in a hands-on experience that nurtures both craft and spirit.
