FAQ's
If I have applied in the past can I/should I apply again?
Each term includes a new call for work, open to the public.
Any artist may apply, regardless of past submission(s).

How is acceptance determined?
All applications are reviewed by an impartial jury who curate a diverse body of work for the upcoming term.
Do I have to live in CO to apply?
Yes, all artists at The New Local are local to Colorado.

What are the terms for commission?
There will be a 50/50 split for all artwork sold through The New Local.

If I am accepted as a TNL artist, will everything in my application be shown in the gallery?
Not necessarily. If you are accepted, you will receive an initial, general acceptance letter. After that we will contact you to request specific work and follow up with more information. Final curation is at the discretion of TNL creative director.

When will I hear about the TERM VIII Jury decisions?
All applicants will be notified the week of August 10th, 2026 via email.
