This workshop will be held at The New Local Annex, 713 Pearl St. 

Join us for a hands-on, family-friendly workshop where one adult and one child will design and handbuild a personalized clay altar or shelf using slab and handbuilding techniques. In this 3-hour experience, you’ll work together to craft a meaningful space for family heirlooms, keepsakes, or cherished objects. It’s a perfect opportunity to create something special for your home while bonding as a pair. No prior experience with clay is needed—just bring your creativity and love for meaningful moments!

The Process

  • Work together as a family to bring your creation to life

Hour 3: Final touches and meaningful connections

  • Refine the details of your piece, ensuring it’s both functional and beautiful
  • Add surface textures or inscriptions that reflect your family's unique story
