Instructor: Kimothy Joy
Step into a serene, soulful space for creative connection and intention-setting with artist and author Kimothy Joy. In this meditative watercolor portrait workshop, you’ll be guided to paint a woman who has shaped your life—your muse, your inner self, your future self, or a symbolic figure of feminine wisdom. No prior experience is needed.
You’ll explore expressive watercolor techniques to create a symbolic, fluid portrait—front-facing or profile—framed within a Victorian-style oval. The session will conclude with sacred embellishments using gold leaf or metallic ink, inspired by the iconography of illuminated manuscripts, indigenous symbolism, and divine feminine imagery.
Each participant will receive:
- A handcrafted Italian watercolor palette by A. Gallo (take home, reusable)
- A professional brush (take home)
- Archival watercolor paper (take home)
- Gold leaf materials
- Warm tea and intention-setting circle
All ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you're from Evergreen, Boulder, or beyond, come honor the feminine forces that guide you.
