Most recently, my artwork and research has centered on invasive plant species and their impact on native species including their adaptability to climate change. The use of thread to recreate plants and their hidden root systems as they were found in the environment is an attempt to illustrate the strength and the fragility of these species. My art works have been exhibited nationally and internationally. In addition to working as an artist I am also a professor at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado where I teach studio art and art education classes. I have presented on the topic of art education at regional and national conferences.
