Ages 16+
Come learn about and create your own watercolor botanical illustration! We will review the concept of botanical illustration and have a watercolor demonstration before diving into your own paintings. There will be a choice of two different native wildflowers to choose from. No experience necessary - just an interest in learning about painting or plants! Students will take home one beautiful botanical watercolor painting by the end of class.
About the Instructor:
Beatrice Linnea Bast is a Boulder Based (as of January 2025) watercolor artist whose work is deeply influenced by a lifelong connection to flowers. She holds a BFA from the University of Michigan, a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Urban Permaculture Institute of San Francisco, and has studied Ornamental Horticulture at the City College of San Francisco and the New York Botanical Garden.
Linnea’s work has been internationally collected and exhibited in New York, Philadelphia, Palm Beach, and West Palm Beach. Her work has been featured in Serena & Lily, Palm Beach Illustrated, The Spruce, and more.
