Self-Care Serenade

Friday, September 5th

5:30-7pm

Instructor: Alex Bernat

*This Workshop will be held at TNL Annex, 713 Pearl St.*

Come join us for a community experience of self-care while being serenaded by live harp!

This is a supportive group space where we can be surrounded by soft music and loving community while we each bring out our favorite self-care tools, such as journaling, art, movement, reading, meditation, and all the wonderful ways we like to find rest.

We will arrive with a gentle welcome circle, enjoy 45min-1hr of open self-care time accompanied by improvisational harp music, then reflect and close together.

What to Bring:

Please bring your favorite supplies for quiet self-care along with water, low-noise snacks if you want them, and anything you need to be comfortable on wood flooring. Pillows, blankets, and yoga mats can be particularly cozy. You are welcome to bring supplies to share!

About the Facilitator:

Alex Bernat (pronouns: they/she) is an intuitive healing harpist with over 17 years of musical experience. Since studying with the International Harp Therapy Program in the Netherlands at age 16, Alex has loved bringing music into mental health settings, holistic healing workshops, hospices, hospitals, assisted living, and community organizing spaces.

Accessible Tickets:

Community access is a central priority of this event. In commitment to equity and solidarity, free tickets are available for BIPOC, trans folx, community members with disabilities, and those experiencing financial need. Please reach out to alexbernatharp@gmail.com with the subject “Serenade Solidarity Ticket” to check if space is available. Please also email with any accessibility requests and questions!

Paid tickets and community support make this accessibility possible. For those of us who can easily access and afford this event, selecting a meaningful amount that we can comfortably pay supports the whole community in being able to come together for restoration. If you or your organization are interested in sponsoring the continued accessibility of this or future events, please be in touch!
